In this verse, the Supreme Buddha tells us the great power of diligence
Appamādarato bhikkhu, pamāde bhayadassi vā;
Abhabbo parihānāya, nibbānasseva santike.
The monk who delights in diligence and fears negligence is incapable of losing wholesome qualities. He is close to Nibbāna.
