Benefits of Cultivating Wholesome Qualities

This video comes from the Mahamevnawa Toronto Channel.

Most of us are troubled by anger, anxiety, depression, remorse or other unwholesome thoughts on a daily basis. We then find it very difficult to remove these unwholesome thoughts. The Supreme Buddha said, “Bhikkhus, whatever a bhikkhu frequently thinks and ponders upon, that will become the inclination of his mind.” [Dvedhāvitakka Sutta]
Therefore, we must always aim to develop and focus on wholesome thoughts, and the best way to do this is through meditation, as taught by the Supreme Buddha. So, by frequently following the Buddha’s teachings, we will be able to cultivate wholesome qualities.
