Namo Buddhaya,
Now I understand what happened on the Binara Poya Day, and it’s significance!
This video was well done! I liked how the video had a cartoon, Sinhala language, and English Subtitles. I learned that Maha Prajapati Gotami wanted to be a Bhikkhuni and she went with 500 Sakyan Princesses to Lord Buddha to ask permission to start a Bhikkhuni Sangha and started the Bhikkhuni Sangha on the Binara Full Moon Poya Day. I also learned that Venerable Kiribathgoda Gnanananda Thera started Shraddha TV on the same day that the Bhikkhuni Sangha was made, Binara Full Moon Poya Day.
Namo Buddhaya,
this video is a great job I learned that Binara Poya Day is very significant and that
the Supreme Buddha’s disciples are fourfold, Bhikkhu, Bhikkhuni, Upasaka and Upasika.
